About the Title: Formerly available as three textbooks with CD Rom study guide, now available in an easier, more affordable format!  All three books plus study guides on one CD-Rom! Includes A New World in View, Building a City on a Hill, On the Road to Independence, Supplemental chapters, study guides, tests and answers key.

A New World in View
First in the multi-volume American history textbook series. This book lays a firm foundation, opening in Classical Greece and Rome and closing with French exploration of the New World. Full-color illustrations throughout bring history alive. The unique timeline graphic keeps the reader aware of his place in history. Colorful sidebars make the story of history thorough and entertaining.

Building a City on a Hill
This second volume (formerly called From Reformation to Colonization) picks up where A New World in View ends. With full-color pages, it presents the story of America's founding and early years up through the Great Awakening. Every colony is studied, something that few textbooks tackle, explaining how it was possible that thirteen diverse colonies came together to establish a union of states to make "one nation under God."

On the Road to Independence
The third volume continues with the Great Awakening and its powerful effect on America, extensively covers the War of Independence, and concludes with the presidential election of 1800, which has been called the Jeffersonian Revolution. Just as in the first two volumes, On the Road to Independence continues to teach the significance of events and the worldviews that shaped them. The texts pages are filled with wonderful color images and lively sidebars. The timeline graphic keeps the student focused on the historical time period. The acknowledgement of God and His providence is evident throughout Americas formation. On the Road to Independence attempts to show this truth in events, documents, speeches, acts, and proclamations, and with men and women who often put their own lives at risk.
