About the Pack
We're not going to let economic uncertainty keep you from getting ten of the most important Christian Worldview books ever written. That's why we are making this special offer while supplies last. Many of these books will never be reprinted, so take advantage of this rare opportunity while it lasts. There's one particular book in this set that I want to highlight:
The Reduction of Christianity...
There was a time when w e couldn’t keep
The Reduction of Christianity in print. I was doing several interviews each day with Christian and secular radio stations. I debated one of the country’s most popular Christian writers several times. A standing-room-only debate took place in Dallas, Texas.
The Reduction of Christianity was the hottest Christian book because it answered the objections of some prominent Christian writers who believed in cultural surrender. I have to say that
The Reduction of Christianity is one of the most important books I have ever written. It is the antidote to many of the ills that have sickened the Church of Jesus Christ, in particular, indifference to cultural decline and the belief that this world is owned and controlled by the forces of evil and Christians can’t do anything to change it.
The Reduction of Christianity helped Christians turn the corner on cultural and political apathy, and its principles are still driving liberals crazy. (I have the books in my library to prove it.) You’ll understand why after you read this 400-page book. Nothing like it has ever been written, and its arguments have never been answered. The chapters on the kingdom, written by Peter J. Leithart, will turn your world upside down.
Most of the books American Vision publishes and offers flow out of the content of
The Reduction of Christianity. They all make sense when read against the backdrop of
Reduction. American Vision is making this special offer available to our faithful supporters for two reasons. First, to put into your hands materials that have been transforming the lives of Christians for more than 20 years. Second, because we need your help. We don’t bombard our supporters with fundraising letters. Of course, if you would like to send us a donation, we’ll take it and be thankful. By purchasing books, CDs, and DVDs from us, you will help American Vision bring in some much needed cash to continue our vital and appreciated work. We are moving into a crucial period in America. American Vision is at the forefront of the many ideological battles that are being fought. The anti-Christian forces know us and don’t like us. We can thank you for that.
THIS PACK INCLUDES:
The Children Trap
Author: Robert Thoburn
Subtitle: Biblical Principles for Education
The educational crisis in America has become so desperate that
most "experts" agree we are "a nation at risk." Academic standards are
declining. SAT scores are declining. Teacher competency is declining.
In fact, just about everything we do with our schools is declining . .
.except the costs, the crime, the drug abuse and the immorality.
In this volume of the groundbreaking
Biblical Blueprints Series,
Robert Thoburn outlines specifically what those answers are. He shows
us just exactly what we can do to restore academic and moral excellence
in our schools according to Scripture's own plan.
Dominion and Common Grace
Author: Dr. Gary North
Subtitle: The Biblical Basis of Progress
What legacy should each generation of Christians leave to the
next? the Book of Proverbs says: "A good man leaveth an inheritance to
his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up
[stored up] for the just" (Pr. 13:22). This certainly sounds like an
earthly inheritance, not simply a heavenly one. After all, our
grandchildren are supposed to inherit. Inherit what? Increasing defeat?
Bankruptcy? A world controlled increasingly by sinners? Or a
progressive increase of dominion, prosperity, and righteous rule by
Christians in every area of life?
Dominion and Common Grace
answers these and many other tough questions in detail. It deals
especially with the hard question of the weakness of the Church in
history, and the power of the God-haters in history. How is it that
those who hate Christ seem to prosper, while Christians seem to be
powerless? Should we expect more of the same?
The Reduction of Christianity
Author: Gary DeMar & Peter Leithart
Subtitle: Dave Hunt's Theology of Cultural Surrender
"New Age" thinking has swept over the modern Church in a tidal
wave of heresy, error and seduction. A number of valiant defenders of
historical Biblical orthodoxy have risen to the challenge, most notably
Dave Hunt. Unfortunately, while ably sounding the alarms and capably
rousing the troops, Hunt and many of his colleagues have reduced the
breadth and depth and power of the Faith once for all delivered to the
saints. Unwittingly, they have offered the Church a shrunken and
truncated version of the Gospel.
In this capably written, courteously argued and comprehensively
detailed book, authors DeMar and Leithart show us how. They show us how
to confront the error of "New Age" thought with the power of the truth—
the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
The Reduction of Christianity is a must-read for anyone
concerned about the New Age movement while at the same time desiring to
be faithful to the fullness of the Christian Faith.
Moses and Pharaoh
Author: Dr. Gary North
Subtitle: Dominion Religion vs. Power Religion
The conflict between Moses and Pharaoh was a conflict between the
religion of the Bible and its rival, the religion of humanism. It is
not common for scholars to identify Egypt's polytheism with modern
humanism, but the two theologies share their most fundamental
doctrines: the irrelevance of the God of the Bible to the affairs of
men; the evolution of man into God; the impossibility of an infallible
word of God; the nonexistence of permanent laws of God; the
impossibility of temporal judgment by God; and a belief in the power of
man.
This book is a detailed study of the conflict between Moses and
Pharaoh. It discusses the implications of this conflict in several
areas: theology, politics, sociology and especially economics. This
book is the second volume of a multi-volume set, the first volume being
The Dominion Covenant: Genesis.
Healer of the Nations
Author: Dr. Gary North
Subtitle: Biblical Principles for International Relations
We are in the midst of a massive global crisis of confidence. War and
rumors of wars have made detente nigh unto impossible. Enmity and
strife pervade every summit. Envy and suspicion cloud every treaty.
Avarice and schism threaten every alliance.
Most international theorists and foreign policy analysts can't offer
much hope in the way of change. They simply don't have answers.
But the Bible does. In this volume of the ground-breaking
Biblical Blueprints Series,
Dr. Gary North outlines specifically what those answers are. He shows
how the obstacles to justice, peace, and harmony can be overcome—if
only we would act decisively and Scripturally.
The Cathedral Builder
Author: Jeff Ventrella
Subtitle: Pursuing Cultural Beauty
"The rule of law is a cathedral we have to build brick by brick." So
spoke Chief Justice John G. Roberts during his first major public
address. But how are the bricks to be laid? Is there an order? How does
one distinguish between cultural bricks and mortar? Or, facade? And,
upon what foundation should these bricks rest? What roles should
same-sex "marriage," the Academy, the Constitution, faith,
homosexualism, and abortion "rights" play in this cultural project?
Cathedral Builder examines
these questions in the context of today's legal culture by exploring
what it takes to build a lasting and beautiful cultural cathedral. Will
the rule of law be a lasting thing of increasing beauty, or a hastily
erected, unstable, rusting tin shack?
Sanctions and Dominion
Author: Dr. Gary North
Subtitle: An Economic Commentary on Numbers
The book of Numbers is the
fourth book of the Pentateuch. The Pentateuch is structured in terms of
the biblical covenant model: transcendence, hierarchy, ethics, oath and
succession. Numbers deals with the oath-bound sanctions of God's
covenant law.
The book of Numbers is about winners and losers in the wilderness.
Members of the generation of the exodus were losers. The first nineteen
chapters of Numbers are a chronicle of Israel's first two years in the
wilderness—a period of continual rebellion.
The book of Numbers stands as a warning to men: those societies
that disobey God's Bible-revealed law will not inherit in history.
Either they will be destroyed or their inheritance will be delayed to
be collected by a later generation.
Conspiracy: A Biblical View
Author: Dr. Gary North
Dr. Gary North challenges the various conspiracy theories of both
conservative and liberal groups in the US. In the end, the author
explains why all human conspiracies are doomed to failure in the light
of the supreme plan of Almighty God. He presents a special version of
the conspiracy view of history, which makes it controversial even among
conspiracy theorists.
House Divided
Author: Greg L. Bahnsen & Kenneth L. Gentry
Subtitle: The Break-Up of Dispensational Theology
The year 2001 brought a new millennium: the seventh after the creation and the third after the birth of Jesus Christ. This
is the greatest opportunity for evangelism in world history. In less
than a dozen years, the world will change drastically. Will it be for
the better or the worse?
Dispensationalists automatically answer: "Worse!" But their
system is in deep trouble. The year 1988 marked the beginning of
dispensationalism's "great tribulation": the Rapture did not take
place. It was supposed to (actually, it should have taken place in
1981:1988 - 7 = 1981). The nation of Israel was founded in May of 1948.
Forty years constitutes one generation in the Bible, and 1988 was
supposed to complete "the generation of the fig tree." Mr. Whisenant's
book gave the world 88 reasons why the Rapture would take place in
September, 1988, and (he says) over four million copies were printed.
People believed!
It didn't happen. Fooled again. And a lot of Christians vowed: Never again! (How about you?)
Liberating Planet Earth
Author: Dr. Gary North
Subtitle: An Introduction to Biblical Blueprints
Does the Bible have answers for the complex challenges of Marxism, Communism, Liberation Theology, and New Age Humanism? Yes. Absolutely.
Desperate cries for liberation sound around the globe. Oppression,
injustice, and abject need pockmark every continent and every nation.
Quite naturally, Marxists, Socialists, and various other Humanists rush
in to exploit the discontent with promises of liberty and justice for
all.
Sadly, the Church has not responded in kind. Bible teachers and
professional theologians have either bought the lies of the Humanists
or they have been altogether silent. They simply don't have answers. But the Bible does.
In this volume of the ground breaking Biblical Blueprint Series, Dr. Gary North outlines specifically what those answers are. He
demonstrates that the only true hope for liberating the nations is the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us what to do, when, where, how, and why. It offers us a "blueprint" for liberation. Liberating Planet Earth lays out that "blueprint" simply, practically, and understandably.
