Protecting you Wealth from Liberal Fallacies

The lecture on protecting your wealth from liberal fallacies was great. I thought it was well presented. The information practical and logical. The lecture itself was great but including the extra e-books and audio presentation was icing on the cake. It added value by allowing me to study deeper into the subject and gain that much more knowledge. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a biblical and common sense perspective on our current economic situation and some practical steps to take in response.

Previous reviews have all been good, and I agree with most of what they said, so won't repeat that. I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and the biblical and practical insights, so I hate to be negative about anything. However, I felt there was a lack of clear explanation of what the principles were behind the broken window analogy: What false principles caused some very smart people to fall into the trap of thinking disasters and destruction "help" the economy? What biblical principles would help us avoid drawing that conclusion? Yes, it seems obvious to "common sense," but the precise principles were not articulated on this point.
So, I was left feeling unsettled by a lack of closure in the presentation. In addition to the point described above, it seems to me the three chunks of the message were as follows:
(1) Biblical Principles and exposition
(2) Broken Window analogy and what is happening now (3) Practical suggestions for dealing with inflation
The transitions were generally in place, but between the above three chunks, it seems the transitions could have been made more explicit to show how each section led clearly to the next in terms of ideas and principles. That is the reason for my giving 4 stars instead of all 5.
Nevertheless, this should be taken as constructive criticism, because each section was very enlightening and thought-provoking. Excellent insights and very instructive. Highly recommended !!!

This is an excellent economics lesson, based on biblical values and teachings, about how to make it through the coming predicted inflationary years. Things will, (depends on several factors), get bad, and then worse. Be prepared. This DVD gives you some insight on how to get ready for what the experts say is not only coming, but has already started. The questions nobody has the answer to is how far and when will it end. You need to protect yourself and your family from total devastation, and the information is here to help you do just that.
This is not everything you can do. This is not even everything you should do. It is a beginning point for you to consider what else you need to do.

This DVD-CD package is well worth the money. I would say it is a must for any Christian, or anyone else for that matter, who finds themselves in a quandary in this day and age as to what must they do to survive.
I thought I received yet another of the "get rich quick" Christian guides to "prosperity", but what Joel McDurmon does is to walk you through the "why" are things the way the are and he gives you practical advice that anyone, not just the rich, can follow and prosper by. And yes, he backs up his assertions with Biblical accounts and verses to make his points crystal clear.
I recommend this to anyone having a "crisis" as to their personal fiances and how they may understand how to deal with them. Great series, once I put the DVD into the player, I couldn't walk away from it. I would say, that for me, it is very riveting and demands your attention. This is a great addition to anyone's DVD library and would make an excellent gift to children and grandchildren (who are grown up) to LEARN some thing they can apply to their lives.

Protecting Our Economy from Liberal Fallacies

McDurmon’s lecture on “Protecting Your Wealth from Liberal Fallacies” provides what is former eras was known as common sense. He admits that he is not a financial adviser, but a theologian and philosopher, and launches into a theological discussion of wealth and how to preserve it.
The lecture may be misnamed in that it is not about the wealth of specific individuals – me or you – but is about the preservation of community wealth. Of course, the wealth of a community is nothing apart from the wealth of its individual members. Nonetheless, wealth is always necessarily communal in that money must circulate in order to be useful.
He illustrates his main point by discussing the “broken window fallacy.” In short, he argues that repairing broken property does not increase wealth, neither that of individuals nor of communities. And yet, this fallacy is at the heart of most socialist economic schemes. As such, this lecture might be better named, “Protecting Our Economy from Liberal Fallacies.” He argues that the various economic stimulus packages of late are based on this fallacy, and that they stimulate economic activity but do not and cannot increase wealth.
He goes on to recommend common sense ideas like eliminating personal debt, keeping emergency cash available, having a thirty day supply of food and medicine on hand. Rather than working for someone else, he recommends owning your own business as a hedge against difficulties. But this is not an option for everyone. He also recommends having three streams of income, for instance: a job, rental property and an Ebay store.
To protect ourselves from inflation, McDurmon recommends buying now because later everything will cost more. Good advice if available cash is not a problem. The problem for most people is that they don’t have enough money to do what McDurmon recommends. His recommendations are solid, but the specifics about how to get enough money to engage these principles is lacking. And yet, criticism abo

About the Title:
The prophet Micah condemned the crooks and politicians of his day for devising schemes to scam and rob the people. Micah 2:1–2 says, “Woe to those who scheme iniquity, who work out evil on their beds! When morning comes, they do it, for it is in the power of their hands. They covet fields and then seize them, and houses, and take them away. They rob a man and his house, a man and his inheritance.”
In this insightful presentation, Joel McDurmon elaborates on the pattern Micah exposes: covet, scheme, and rob. Mr. McDurmon shows how modern governments and academics employ the fallacious thinking of the “broken window fallacy” in order to scheme and rob you of your hard-earned wealth. He alerts you to the alarming size of the national debt, pending inflation, and gives simple, practical advice for beating the scheme.
